Today, we’re announcing Claude Opus 5. Opus 5 is now our most capable generally available model for biology and chemistry. It shows better performance than Opus 4.8 on all of our bio evals, and is especially good at organic chemistry and protein design. Opus 5 feels smarter than any previous Opus-class model on biology and drug discovery, and is great as a daily driver for hours-long research tasks.
